 rubbin the hide off of my boats belly

Post rubbin the hide off of my boats belly
rocks and sand are starting to take their toll on my aluminum boats underside. it not just the dents but the metals getting thin. is there a way to rebuild the sufaces like alumaloy or should i just get a .125" plate welded over the front belly?
