Alright I have a 1648 with gator glide that shallow water customs built for me with a 36 pro drive stock on it except for the prop and it is a Hopkins. I'm getting speeds average 25 to 26 running between 3900-4100 rpms with me (180lbs) my brother (160lbs) 10gallon gas and a 70 qt cooler full. Is that about right speeds or should it be going a little faster? Reason I'm asking I'm seeing people post that they are running higher 20s with bigger boats than mine. Just curious to hear what others have to say about it. |

I would say it's pretty close to what you should be running, maybe try a different prop? |

With you people and that much gas you are doing just fine in a PD. That is good speed |

The reason bigger boats see those speeds or slighter better is bc bigger rigs typically will carry a load better. Yours will be faster empty. |

My 16x48 PD boat ran just under 29 mph, and would run around 25 with 4 people. What year is your engine? Why the Hopkins prop? |
