Alright guys, I have a chance to buy a couple year old 35hp gator tail with loooww hours for a dam good price. There also happens to be a used 1751 excel decently close to home that is a real good price as well. My problem is the Excel is a short transom. Anyone ever build up a transom on an Excel? Is it worth it?

I can get the gtr and a 1752 .100ga eldbilt for 8300. But I know the Excel would be a better overall purchase.

Thoughts?

If it's a hunt deck I would think any welder near you could do it pretty easily and wouldn't cost much.
