Fins and Feathers is also out of Ponchatoula and he builds some nice boats. I hunt with a guy that got one built from them and it's a really nice boat and my padna is not easy on his shit.

Fins and Feathers may have built some great boats, but the one I was in contact with recently wasn't one of those.

Very poor finish work, not a single door fit flush. Sloppy porous welds. Asymmetric side walls through rake section. Terrible paint quality, very rough finish. Slag everywhere. Etc.

Post subject:  Re: Shallow Water Custom Boats?

Asymmetrical side wall through rake is a better way to put what I heard also

Saw a fins and feathers boat awhile back. Doesnt look like a bad boat. Considering it was on the water when i saw it, i didnt get to look at every detail

In the one I saw it wouldn't have mattered if the pump was running... Wasn't plumbed outside the boat.. Guess your supposed to hold the hose while your sinking....
