Too much vibration/flexing for screws esp stainless they will react as a file to wallow out the hole they fill.
Rivets can be drilled out and replaced easier if need be. Either way good luck.

I just scored some 1/8" aluminum sheet for the floor in my boat.. Should I attach it with stainless screws or alum. rivets? I like the idea of using screws, but not totally sure if they will react with the aluminum. What do you guys think? Thanks, Jim |

Kinda worried about being able to get under the floor easily, and quickly... Are SS screws a bad idea for some reason? The only thing I could think of would be electrolysis. But I thought stainless did't react with aluminum though. |
