Hey y'all I have a 1436 riveted jon boat and was wondering what is the best application, such as gator glide, to put on the bottom. My main concern is to strengthen the bottom of the boat up some. Thanks! |

The only thing I can think of is get a new hull. The rivets is the weakest points of your hull . GG won't strengthen the bottom of your hull much if at all. |

Your gonna put dents in that thing unless your just running vegetation and soft mud. That was my first boat years ago. The bottom looked like a piece of wrinkled up paper by the time I got rid of it. Every couple years I would knock a rivet loose on a stump or rocks. I would fill leaks with JB weld and used a product called gluv it to seal it up. Pretty sure that gluv it is similar to gator glide. |
