Post Trim and tilt not working?
I have a 2012 Mud Buddy 35hp and the trim and tilt stopped working. I went out a couple days ago and it didn't work at first but then started working. Now I went out and it doesn't work at all. When I press the up and down button the relay just clicks. I took it off and had the relay tested but they said it works fine. What should I test next? Would a bad motor make this happen? Can you just replace the actuator or do you have to replace everything?

Agree its probably the switch on the football, when the trim won't work in either direction the common points are the ckt breaker, switch, or actuator. The switch is the most common point of failure. You can remove the 4 screws out of the bottom of the football to reveal the switch wiring. Next, bypass the switch to verify its the source of the problem. Just take either the red or black wire loose from the sides of the switch (note - the black wire on the corner is ground) and touch it to the white power wire on the other corner of the switch. If the trim operates normally when you touch those wires together then get a replacement switch.

Here is some troubleshooting step by step on the MB forum.

Its a good idea to either print out the PDF wiring diagrams noted in this thread or save a copy to your phone so you can access it on the water if you need to bypass an electrical problem.

These are the switch connections in the football on the tiller.
