I picked up a waco 1436 to put my longtail on till I get to build a custom hull :) I can tell now it will probably need some extra braceing. was wondering what others may have done or might suggest. all pics and opinions welcome :)

I ran a similar boat with a 9 hp and an 18 hp with no problems. The picture shows a transom with no obvious cracks around the corner bracing or the knee brace and I can't see any hook so it appears to be a decent hull. You didn't say what hp you have, but I limited mine to 18 and had good luck. The only problem I had was the hull was too small to carry the loads I wanted to go with. You can wreck any boat if you get too aggressive with it.

I have an aluminum frame 9hp but plan to build a 13 hp predator longtail and eventually a13 hp shortail

I basically got it to run in a shallow creek that I couldn't put my 1652 in wanted something small and lite I can drag over super shallow ares and small beaver dams
