I am fixing to do my first gator glide application. How difficult is it going to be to sand the paint off of the bottom of the hull? The paint on there now is not very worn. Also any tips on what is best to use to sand the paint off first.

Just take the boat to a harrowed up field unload it and drag it behind the truck.

get a palm sander and go to town on the bottom then wipe down a couple of times with acetone.

Not kidding about this. Get a shitty prop and jump a few small sand bars. You will be amazed how fast paint comes off

I had the bottom of my boat left unpainted when it was built. When I did my GG I dunked some scotch brite in acetone and gave it a rub-down. Worked perfect.
