 RIBBIT.....GG
How much does a half gal GG weigh? Just wondering how much weight it will add to my boat. Do yall think half gal is enough for a 16x40 with a few dents tht need to be filled in as well? Does it do pretty good for small cracks? I have a few small cracks in the bottom that leak.

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
Weighs about 44lbs wet, 38 dry.... I'm assuming you haven't dug through the dozens of threads on this topic. It doesn't fill dents well and I wouldn't recommend it for repairing leaks.

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
Its just a few hair cracks that drip their not bad. Hell i could probably jb weld them sand and apply gg wouldnt you think? Im not to worried about the dents would be nice to fill them in some. Do you think i could get away witb a quart of gb on a 16x40 then use hald gal g4?

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
G4 is the base , ,G2 is the slicker finish , a quart is plenty 4-5 coats worth.

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
According to the website g2 is slicker and g4 is more abrasion resistant and gator base is the base

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
You are correct , I knew the g2 was the slicker of the two .

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
You may be in the wrong sport if you are concerned with the weight of a paint-like coating.
Read his website, it has GREAT information. Frog will also talk your ear off if you give him the chance. If you have any questions, call him or ask here. He knows his produc.t

 Re: RIBBIT.....GG
And trust me every bit counts when your coming out on the intercoastal with all the tugs and crew boats with around 20 sacks of crawfish in a 16.5x40 skiff
