 If u were??
If u were 2 build a boat for 25 HP sd max " like what some fed uints are alowing for next year." what would u build. it would be talored mostly fer the gulf coast marsh with little 2 no stumps or wood. Im fixing 2 build one and looking 2 see what works best or what people like as far as size, style, and gage.

 Re: If u were??
i ran a 25kholer on a 20'x44'' skiff for a long time. it will run mid 20's empty and run 20ish loaded for bidness.
a 18x48'' boat would do fine as well.
just don't get stupid with options/crap in the boat and u'll be fine.
good luck

 Re: If u were??
if you were worried about carrying a load, I had a 27 on a 20x38 .125 square chine boat that would haul a serious load for a small motor, and ran in the mid 20's.
if you're only going to carry 2 other guys and hunting gear at most, a 17x48 .125 square chine boat with no extra boxes full of crap always worked really well for me, with the 27/25 hp Kohler.

i had a 27 on a 16'X54" (all 1/8") dat did purdy good. wasn't a speed demon, but it handled a decent load purdy good. either ya go short & fat or long & skinny!
