As far as I know the floatation that they can put in is in the form of aluminum boxes in the stern. I don't know if they do anything differant with the drop deck floatation. If you give them a call they can answer all your questions. These are Tulsawoodys pics and he has floatation in his rig just to give you an idea. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=34

I can't find any reg that won't let you register a commercial hull on their site, but I believe if you buy a commercial fisherman license you should have no problem registering a commercial hull. Check on it

Check my rig review, you can find the link in my signature. I have flotation in the rear deck, two rear pods and upfront.

Also this has come up before...you do know that the drop deck is part of the 17'...you dont get 17' of boat plus the drop deck just thought I would throw that out there so you can factor that in when thinking of the room for the amount of people

Re: new to the site...GTB ?
Were you meaning a 17' boat w/ hunt deck would be 16' inside the hull and the extra 1' would roughly be the hunt deck giving you 17' overall length. I must say having the hunt deck keeps the stern clean if your playing in mud but granted when you start dogging it doesn't matter what you have mud is going everywhere
