This hydro turf will match the boat pattern pretty well.

you will love that turf. ive had it on 2 of my boats. great stuff.

The camo is not even remotely close to multicam, but I think I like it better.

It is unique, and I believe it will blend well in most of the areas I would hunt.

I think there are a slew of camo options that have yet to be tried on a boat.

If you visit the Uncle J Custom Boats Face Book page, you can see where he did his own boat in an anaconda pattern. No one has yet to do a boat in a gator pattern.

I am a little more educated on camouflage in regards to what the human eye sees. I am not as smart on what a duck can see. Sometimes I think camo is more hype than reality. That being said, I believe the old WWII British camo pattern to be one of the best ever. This is the old British Paratrooper Smock. A boat done in this pattern would be very unique,.

the hydroturf is now in. The camo looks even better now that I see it outside.

I have my boat. I am pretty smoked. Worked an all nighter, drove the next day to South LA, and back the next.

Got the trolling motor mounted and had some other work to do.

Took it out on the White River and did a little fishing.

The boat and Gator Tail XD ran very well.

I have some learning to do. This is my first SD. Did figure out that load balance makes a real difference in getting the boat to run true and not pull one direction.

Still figuring out the trim.

Plan to take a GPS next time.

Once I get it all figured out I will do a review

I did get to look at the boat while I picked loads of sweet corn for Mamma Ranger.

Only a dumb ass plants 15 rows of sweet corn. Wish I had some more hogs to feed. This would go much quicker.

I took a tiger disc to it and ground it out. Didn't want my wife and kids coming across it.

Couldn't find trademark on my hull either. Uncle J is a dirty ol man. Sweet rig Ranger

It is the company my heart surgeon started. As you can tell he is a UF grad and donor. He was a surgeon at Shands for years until retiring to join another group of surgeons.

Last night was the most I was able to run the new boat. Still figuring some things out.

With me (235), the wife and daughter (115 per), full tank of gas, cooler, trolling motor and battery, we were running 27 against the current in the main channel of the Chattahoochee River.

Plan to put it in shallow water tonight.

Not yet, but fixing to soon.

Ran it up and down the White River two nights ago with just me, full tank of gas, trolling motor and battery up front.

It ran 29 mph steady and when I got into shallow water it did 30 mph.

I do not like getting into shallow much on the White River because of all the rock.

The picture is when I was down in Alabama last week on the Chattahoochee. Wish I was still down there.

I was bass fishing with a 13 year old. He had never seen a mud motor before. We were throwing top water on the edge of the lily pads and he pointed off into them and said "so it will run through stuff like that?" I told him "yep", but he looked skeptical. I figured I better prove it to him, and thought it would hammer the point home if he actually got to drive the boat. He kept that smile on his face for a good while.

Been a while since I bass fished the River Bend area on Fort Benning. I did not realize the gator population had grown. We had gators everywhere.

That's a happy young man right there, probably ruined for life now, can you only imagine what the MM world will be like in that time?
