Looking at a new boat
Hello all, I am new to this thread so I am looking to the help of the guru's for some helpful advice. I am going to be in the market this spring and summer for a new boat, looking at a surface drive/mud motor on a shallow water boat as I already have a boat for big water.
I hunt the lakes in Oklahoma and Kansas, a time or two a year I make it over to Arkansas. I will have to travel across big, open water but want the capabilities to get through the shallows obviously. I like to hunt 3-4 guys, and we are abnormally large (6'5" 250lbs average), I have hunted quite a bit out of my buddies 1860 excel with a 4400 black death and it tends to have trouble plaining up with 4 guys or 3 and a lot of gear/dog. Obviously looking to avoid this, love the setup of the boat but do want to be able to travel better.
Let me know what you guys think, I appreciate the help!
