What to expect from 1654 gator trax an 37 EFI Gator Tail

863woodies&ringers MMT Member Joined: Fri Oct 30, 2015 8:29 pm Posts: 23	What to expect from 1654 gator trax an 37 EFI Gator Tail So I'm looking at buying a 2015 1654 gator trax with hunt deck from this guy near me an the motor is a gator tail same year. Never been on or used a gator tail motor an was wondering how much one should cost with 40 hours on it. How are they speed wise/ carrying a load. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is my first rig but from 3800-3900 rpm was my best speeds but yesterday was some 20 mph+ winds an I ran on the calm side but wind somewhat at my back so maybe that affected it? Going to change all the oil an grease today an really go through it an run tonight.

Could feel motor running right an whole boat seemed faster. All this is a large learning curve since Ive ran outboards my whole life constantly getting stuck an now its pretty much just hammer down. Learned a bunch just from this topic alone!
