I have a 23 GD SD on a 14 40 express soon to be 1548 weld built. It turns 4100 loaded down ,the prop is at 98% ,speed is good . I am wondering would a three blade be better. Is it even offered for that motor.
What cha think

Depends on your year model....

New GDSD have same 3 blade on all hp sizes with different gear ratios...

Older GDSD have a 2 blade...

Word is - you gotta do a ratio change to go 3 blade....

My Weldbilt is pictured here... With 2006 27hp 2 blade...

I talked to Lance about swapping to the 3 blade. I think you gotta swap the shaft, the pulley, and the prop. He said its about $500 total. Heard itll pick up about 2-3mph, but cant verify that

I switched from the two to the three and I like it for cruisin but for blowing out of the mud I like the two better. Maybe I do need a gear change or just go back to the two.
