I purchased this stuff about five months ago, and just now putting it on before the fishing gets real good.

I deliberated for a while on the best way to hang the boat, and figured a chain hoist hooked to the motor with two nylon ratchet straps on the handles would suffice on the back end. Used my Kubota to lift the front, along with some 2x6 braces.

I used to paint houses for living in college, and prep always seems to be the key to a good finish. I sanded it down with 120 and washed with acetone.

I got four coats of Gator Base on. It is more like applying a glue than paint. I figured out working quick helps.

If the weather holds, I will get the Gator Glide applied on Saturday.

I am looking forward to trying it out.

You will love it. Just make sure you don't unhook your boat until your in the water and hook up before you pull out or your boat will slide off onto the ramp.

The Gator Glide was well worth the cost and effort. Where it has really shined for me is fishing and bow fishing flooded timber. My boat is an 18x54 and with just the trolling motor pulling, it slides over logs, through the buck brush, and across vegetation with ease. I can definitely tell a difference.
