Is anyone having trouble with paint chipping/flaking off of your Gatortail? I picked my boat up in early August and the paint isn’t holding up at all. There are places all over the deck and inside the boat where the paint is flaking off. On the places where the paint has flaked off, there’s bare aluminum showing. I assumed the paint would have had an etching primer in it if they didn’t use an etching primer prior to painting with the topcoat. Anyway, I’m pretty aggravated that the paint hasn’t held up. Especially since I’m pretty careful with how I put stuff in the boat. I don’t throw stuff in it. And I get that there is going to be wear, but the boat has 13 hours on it. My buddy has one with 100 hours or so and his boat doesn’t show the first sign of wear. Another buddy has a GD hull that he had GT repaint and it’s holding up just fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

My new gatortail motor has some chips in the paint and I was my rig every trip and am very anal about keeping my things nice. I got matching paint and every couple months I touch up my whole rig over a couple of mixed drinks

Call GT and let them know, it should be covered under warranty and take it in after the hunting season. I had a 2012 hull that was doing the same thing and they repainted the hull.

Yeah I would call them and tell them you are unhappy and see if they make it right. Hopefully they do like the guy above

call gt or the dealer u got it from and they should take care of it. if not, sink it at boat landing and get insurance to get u a new one.

The best option is to always call and let them know what's going on.
