I'm looking for something super lightweight to put a 6hp longtail on. I do not plan to run it in open water but would like for it to be somewhat stable. I'm thinking something 13.6ft x 34is inches. Something like a flat back pirogue design with no benches or seats. I'd like to dedicate 1ft of the stern as a single float pod to help maintain bouancy for the longtail weight. Not planning to beat it up in stumps so doesnt necessarily have to be built like a tank. Can probably go thinner alum on sides. Would like to keep weight around 80lbs if possible. Higher sides with some flare would be great. Anybody building anything like this or have experience? What might something like this cost if possible. You are welcome to PM me if needed.
