I had a 18x46 built by instagator 911 and have been most impressed with it. And he did the complete rig with wiring,sharkeye lights,bilge pump,winch mount,and on-board charging system in 2 1/2 weeks.

I know there is a friggin' ton of them. But anyone (or everyone) care to post up a list of all the custom boat guys out there? I know there's the obvious ones (PD, Gatortrax, phowler, GT, etc.) I'm looking for more of a list that has the guys like Aucoin- build 'em like you want 'em and does awesome work. Might be a good sticky for the mods to put up after all is said and done. Thanks!! |

There is a guy in marshall that builds em on the side. Does real good work, the boats I've seen have been real nice. The welding he has done for me has been done promptly. Don't know how long it takes him to complete an entire hull. He works a full time job alos. PM for his info. Brothers Breaux is the only other that I know of you did not list, and I don't know how to contact them, but I'm sure someone on here does. Also, all the other manufactures you listed build custom boats just the way you want em. Just have to call em. I think Legendcraft, southfork, and most airboat companies build em to your specs too if you call em. Texoma airboats, american airboats. . . Good luck |

Andy's a good dude. Ate supper at his house last week. I do think you'd have to try pretty hard to convince him to build a boat from scratch right now... he stays so busy with repair work, and he's in a pretty small shop. Absolutely the best for repairs, building gunboxes, adding pods, modifying hulls, etc. He used to build hulls back several years ago. |

Yeah I wasn't sure if he would right now or not. Last time I was there, his apprentice was workin on a smaller skiff. If he would build a hull, I'm sure it would be a good one. |
