 .100-.125
Do you see a difference in speed and handling besides maybe a mph or 2 any big changes in your rig?

 Re: .100-.125
The thicker aluminum makes it a much much stronger rig. Less of a chance for dents and cracks from hittin objects. Pm aucoin and he can give you a real good description of the difference I'm sure.

 Re: .100-.125
I ran a .100 ga boat for years. Yes it was lighter, and did ok for what I needed, but when I say it was beat up, I mean it was in awful shape! It had cross bracing, and was dented beyond repair. Still floated, and got me where I needed to go, but stumps and cypress knees really took their toll! If you need a mud motor, get a .125 ga boat at least. Take it from me (and a lot of other guys on here I'm sure), if you are going to be in bad stuff, you will want it.

 Re: .100-.125
The weight difference between them is negligible in the grand scheme of things. Get at least .125.

That aint coopa is it deadbird?
Oh yeah, and go .125. The strength far outweighs the weight. Have a boat with each. The .125 is perfect other than a few scratches, the .100 is hooked all to shit. Longitudinal bracing is also very important. I'm runnin the same stuff deadbird posted above. On almost every lake we run up here.

 Re: .100-.125
its funny that a year ago not a slap nutt around belived a 1/8 bottom was to thin....now only a few run them if they have a choice. For the record i caved mine in 2 hrd into it!!!!! I got a 5/16 now and if that hooks i will give up. Next hull will have 3/1g and teflon. Later
