Don't think i could without pics but if you look good in the pics from the ride saturday you might notice it. New design made on the transom to reduce back wash from the gt reverse. And a sleeker design front end. Very clever.

Carried a load quite well also with that lil daddy special on the back. 7 of us in the boat and she was rolling at a steady 34 mph.

Dam, they had to redesign the whole boat to keep mud and water out of it.

Badass boat for sure. I guess you could also look at it as a semi-huntdeck/ dog platform/ step kinda deal too.

The possibilities are endless. Probably help those slowdrives get a lil speed too.

The pictures don't lie...Pd no water all mud...Gt water plenty water.
Now put the GT in mud beside the PD and see what happens. And i am
not saying the PD got out either, cause i was not there. They all get stuck
but compare apples to apples. ;)

17 x 52 Extreme, I saw it too.

It has a stepped chine.

From the top of the gunnel follow the side of the boat down and it makes a 90 degree bend in at the bottom, then it makes another 90 down then another 90 in so it looks like a step. Hoydt said it helps with turns.

Hope yall can understand this. I know what I am tryin to say and it still barely makes sense.

So its like a huntdeck only it steps down twice?

Post subject:  Re: New GT boat

He's talking about the chine on the boat not the huntdeck part.

phases of applications for me to believe its better !!! Sounds like it will
be fine .... 'till you hang up in mud, weeds, stobbs and such. I can be
wrong 'bout this ..... but I thank I like mines ..... slick !!!! Sho 'nuff

It might be similar to TxShockWave's rig....

Here is what his friend Turtle said about it in another thread....

That boat is a Rocket. He is running a Custom Gator-Tail hull, it is still in the R&D phase.
I have run that boat unloaded 36.2, it moves.

Much smaller steps and the sides of the boat don't look any different than the regular Gator Tail. The step is maybe 1" high and 4" wide.

Look at the transom on the mudboat these guys build, click on "boats" at the top.

http://cat5composites.com/

The steps are about this size.
