I read a few old threads about flotation under floors soaking up water and decided to check mine. It only took about an hour. I bought the rivets and several drill bits. Ended up only using one drill bit. Was easy for me because the floor didn't have any hydroturf or the sort. The pictures of scale are from the first piece from the front of boat. The rear pieces were heavier. i stood on the scale and then held a piece on scale. There were 6 sections of foam all toegther. Ended up removing 107 pounds of bad foam. I was really surprised. This was on a 2003 16x44 GD.

I helped a buddy remove all the flotation in his rig last year. WOW...it was amazing how much all that waterlogged stuff weighed!

alright ladies....calm down....

the FACT of the matter is, is that Godevil build a good hull that is tough and runs good. I know..I had one for several years. They do whoever need the flotation foam replaced as gig said every now and then.

No need to start slamming them. I know alot of people (and I was one of them) that have Godevil hulls and they meet their needs just fine.

Dayum....yall talkin like mudbuddy built these hulls or somethin' :D

what size bit did you go with Glider? i may do mine before i put the turf down. what kind of foam did you go back with? in my last gd i found a local builder supply that carried the 2 inch thick white foam (the hard foam like the kind used in packaging)
