i know i need to just get a new boat, and i really want to, but for right now i'm stuck with the one i've got. sooooo, my probme is that there is a coupl of tiny pinholes somewhere on the hull. would something like frog spit or something seal those up? i dont wanna spend much money on this hull, i just painted it. i'm trying to get rid of it, but i'm askin a little much for it cause i only want to get rid of it to buy another one.

anyway my question is if anyone's ever used or knows of a good product to seal up little holes in an aluminum boat.

3m 5200 would probably work

Put some water inside the boat. Watch where it runs out. Use some good silicone caulk on that place. Done.

3m 5200 is the bomb.

As stated put some water in boat mark where it is coming out and then put a little 5200 on it. Don't put too much or it will catch on everything and come off.

well, i'm thinkin about just settin the boat upside down on saw horses and painting it with 5200. i want this thing to be STRONG. of course i can only make it so strong considering how thin the aluminum is. i think i would do all the work to find one leaky rivet, get it sealed, take it out and another rivet start leaking or something. also the trailer i keep it on is just a utility trailer with runners, so it takes quite a beating just on the trailer.

I would not attempt to "paint the bottom of the boat" with 5200.

It is more of a caulk than a paint. It is very messy and sticky... No way to paint it on and it would snag on everything....

It is completely different than frog spit or steelflex or the like..

If you are having leaky rivets, you can beat them back out and then seal them...

Just fill the boat up with water and see what you got... You will have to get it off the utility trailer to see where the water is leaking tho.. Don't put on sawhorses and then fill with water. They won't hold it (don't ask me how I know).. Need to be something that can handle the weight. Maybe a buddy's trailer?

Then flip it over on the sawhorses and fill your holes. It really isn't that big a deal or that hard.
