Post 35MB on 17.5' Uncle J Custom Bateau
Mounted the new MB35 CDI on an Uncle J's Custom Bateau. I'm still waiting for the paint to dry thoroughly. This boat came out much better than I expected. The paint color matches the powder coat on the motor perfectly. I'll post up some speeds and ride info next week sometime.

Shadow,
I had a post under boat reviews from when I first got the boat. The speeds posted were with a pretty light load, and it ran around 31 max, and a constant 28-29.

This weekend I finally got to put a pretty decent load in it, and all I can say is wow! I was very impressed. It was me (240+), brother-in-law(200), 2 kids(100# combined), 1 ice chest filled to the rim with beer and ice(estimated 75#), and misc. fishing gear. I did not have a gps, but this thing jumped on step. I would guess we were doing 25mph or better.

We got in a few shallow spots and the rig performed perfectly. I know not everyone on here is mudbuddy friendly, but the 35hp CDI has awesome low end torque. I was really impressed with the overall performance.

My brother-in-law has run gd longtails all his life and even had a big 35hp longtail. But he had neber ridden in a sd set up before and he was highly impressed as well.

Here are the results of our little trip to Rockefeller

Just to clarify, there was another ice chest full of beer. This one was for crabs, fish, and empty cans. LOL.

Can you hydroturf over some of the checker plate and will it stick like it would on a flat surface, my gut is saying no, but just wanted to see, the checker plate looks bdass.
