I have enough hydroturf to do all but one small section of my floor(3"X26"). Would you wait to do the last section till you had enough turf to completely finish, or do it and patch it in when you get more next week? I am leaning to doing it and finishing it next week. Any drawbacks from waiting to patch it in later?

Well I figured I would get my fair share of usual pokes and jokes on this, just not right off the bat.

i would wait until you have all the material in to do the whole job without having to patch it in later...your gonna see the patch and it will most likely look like shit.

Gotcha. The reason I was even thinking about it is because it was the very side edge on the front section in the bottom. But that would probably be the wise thing to do. Hell whats one week right? Just impatient and want it done is all.

The turf will contract a little over time- those tight seems where sections meet may open up a little over time. If you lay most of the turf now it may settle a little and give you a bit of a tighter seem later. I don't see any issue with doing the majority of the job now- especially if the weather is good to get the work done. Just MHO.

It all comes down to making good- straight cuts. Save your scraps. If you gouge a piece you cat splice in a patch and it will look fine with straight cuts. Either way would work just fine.

Chocolate head is my internet screen name....chocolate head is what me and my hunting buddies call a Pintail drake, my favorite bird to harvest. Chocolate has nothing to do with the city I live in, my skin color, face color or dog color for that matter. Occasionally it is the color of my ice cream or candy bar thats about it.

Its a 17X50 with a hunt deck. They did the hunt deck and front deck at the factory and I bought 3 sheets for the floors, and just a little bit shy on one side. I could use two small piece to do it but will just get another sheet to make it with one piece and use the rest on the gun box and half box. So I guess to answer yourquestion it would be 4 sheets to totally do it right.
