Both PD and GT are square chine boats. Both make great products and will work for your needs. As far as console vs tiller, test drive them both and see which you prefer. Demo rides are free. Good luck with the purchase.

I'd pick the motor that will fit your needs best and buy the boat to go along with it. Both of your choices make nice boats and you won't be dissapointed with either. I have a 18x48 ProDrive boat and motor with a center console. I really like it, and would go back and buy the same boat again if I had an opportunity to start over.

i live in jackson ms, and we have a huge lake that also has a river system in it... but its a huge bass fishing area and the waves get pretty big on windy days and i was thinking that the gatortrax style boats, beaver tail, gueax custom, gator tail styles would just not be good for that at all unless they ride better than i think, other than that one place i think they would work fine for all the other places i go... just doesnt seem like it would bowfish 4 people very easily and hold a fan without getting tipsy and feeling unstable, also it would seem that the boat would sit very low inthe water for all that weight,,,,but i like the idea of using the boat the duck hunt and fish out of and really want it for using it for bowfishing.... and could get like a 35 horse mud motor with reverse.. so what size boat would yall recommend for what i want to do ...???????????

I have been shopping for a do-all type boat so please help me ??

TXSHOCKWAVE & I both took our Gator-Tail rigs all over West Bay this past weekend. 25 MPH winds Saturday during the Tournament good 1-2' rollers... I got beat up but she handled great. I run an 1860 GTB w/ GTR 35

One engine will do it but 2 engines will push that load (4-5 people and gear)
27-29 mph. Maybe more. If you can afford it....get duals.....you won't regret it!
