 new prop?
I have a pd with 32hp generac (only mods are a mikuni) on it and I'm not sure if I need a new prop or not. The prop on it measures roughly 12 5/8" from tip to tip and the blade is 4 1/4" at the widest point. I thought I remember seeing somewhere that the generacs came stock with a 13" but I can't seem to find it so if anyone knows for sure please let me know. Anyway with 2 average sized guys, 4 gallons of gas, and two batteries I'm getting about 22 at 3800 rpms in a 1548 with ribbed bottom. Which seemed kinda slow to me, but I bought the boat used so I'm not sure what it ran with a brand new prop. There is also a small chunk missing out of the edge of the prop...how much will this affect performance? I attached a pic of the prop and of the edge with the chunk missing.

 Re: new prop?
That looks like a Hopkins prop on there. May b an earlier PD. The prop on my PD looks much different. Call KP at PD and ask him about it.

 Re: new prop?
It's an 04 so it may be an old pd...not sure if the previous owner ever put a new prop on it.
