This is a pic of the weld that split on my frame , Gonna call the dealer I got it from and see if he will help me out with this , If not is this a hard fix for me to do by my self Doesn't look to hard to do , Have any of you had this problem with a mini.

If you can weld, it is an easy fix. If you got to pay someone to weld it, I would check price of new piece versues welder. I have been running my 24hp mini for 1 1/2 years. hit some pretty hard stuff,no cracks. I do tied down very secure when trailering, use atv straps to keep motor from swaying and kicking up. Most cracked welds I have seen are from not securing while trailering, not saying that this is what caused your crack, some welds do crack.

This frame should be under warranty it's only 6 months old , but If they give me shit about the warranty and I've got to weld it what about the powder coating do I need to redo this after welds been done.

Talked to the guy at mudbuddy today and there gonna hook me up with the new part , thats some pretty good service from them.

Ya bro, the crack on mine is in the same spot. I'll post pics this weekend. I secure mine down while trailering with ratchet straps on the lower unit and the handle. The motor doesn't even budge going down the interstate. Looks like you got better service then me. They told me to get it welded and they would reimburse me...I got it welded 3 months ago and still haven't seen a check plus they never offered me a new base plate. I shouldn't have to move a finger since the damn thing is only 5 months old.

My dealer is down in GA and I'm in TN. I sure as hell would like to know how we basically bought our motors at the same time and our cracks are in the same spot. I haven't seen any cracking yet from the weld on the opposite side, but I'm sure that's whats next. My crack wasn't big on the outside like yours, but it ran all the way up on the inside. Also, they couldn't weld the crack on the inside because he said it was too tight to get in there. It comes down to me getting a new base plate before anything worse happens. Glad you got yours fixed. Have you put the new base plate on yet or are you having someone do it?

After reading this post a few weeks ago, I checked my frame also. Guess what, mines is cracked also, same side, but the plate is cracked not the weld. I have a 2009, so seems i may have to fabricate my own bracket. I also strap mines well while trailering. This is after 1 1/2 years of use, not abuse, nor do i baby it. O well , seems just a crack is not too bad, the rest of the frame really held up well.

Well today was a good day after a 3and half hour drive got my motor all fixed up with the new plate, come on teal season.
