Post Prop Vibration.
I own a MB mini 35 modded. Installed my spare prop and it vibrates horribly and won't push the boat. My old prop has no vibration and we pop right up on plane, no problem. No vibration in the shaft without the prop on it either. Anyone have any ideas? Any MB guys have any problems with newer big blade props?

This is the fourth prop in three weeks. They all vibrate. This current prop came today and was checked out and has the owner of MB signature on it. He says on his balance machine it's within 4grams of balance and that they allow 8grams. One fin on the prop looks smaller than the other, and when measuring with a caliper it shows a .050 difference. Just wandering if anyone else is having issures with new props. I'm not trying to be anal, but the vibration is unacceptable. We have gone through 4 props in a year since owning this rig (sandy, rocky river). We have not had this issue before.

Don't know spit about a MB prop - but....

I use an orbital sander to clean up the leading edges of my GDSD
prop between runs when I notice vibration --- seems to help a lot....

Shaft not bent, found a local with a brand new prop he purchased last year. He brought it by our shop and we put it on, NO VIBRATION. I am really thinking something has changed with MB's casting mold???

yah, been talk'n with micca and glen since thanksgiving about it. They've sent us four new props to try and we get the same out of all of them (vibration and lack of performance). They look different than the previos props we have bought. Glen says that they have not heard any of these complaints from their pro-staff. Not sure what is going on, (hard to get much info out of them), however they did just sent us a 3 blade and told us to try it till they figure something out. Guess we'll see how it works this weekend, it doesn't vibrate so things are looking up.

Any local prop shops around u? It takes about 3 minutes to discover how unbalanced a prop is. This could set your mind at ease on whether the prop is actually balanced r not.

Mudbuddy's quality control lately has been like a 5 year olds coloring book. They have had a lot of shit sent back. Hell, I had to send back 2 cams and a prop before i could finally get ones without defects. And i dont care if they are very busy. They need to quit dicking around with mini airboats and shit like that and focus on their quality control.
