 Cross Threaded Prodrive Tower Plug

Post Cross Threaded Prodrive Tower Plug
I think I cross threaded the tower housing plug on my PD that hides the middle grease fitting. How bad of a mistake is this?

I'm not really sure what's in that hole other than the zerk fitting or what would happen if a little water got in there. I plan on just putting more teflon tape on there and snugging it down but I want to make sure there isn't something else that needs to be done. Thanks

Not a big deal. It's purely cosmetic. It's nice to have it covered but the boys at PD say it's not there to keep anything from getting in there and there will not being any problem running without it.

U should be able to re tap it and find a plug at lowes
