 Pulley Alignment Help Please
Thanks to you guys I got the old pulley off and ready to install the new one. How do I align the pulleys? I was going to level the unit and cast a weighted string from top to bottom pulleys and set it. Will this work ?
Do I slightly tighten the taper lock bushing to allow adjustment then run the motor for a while. When everything looks go torque it down ?
Thank you.

 Re: Pulley Alignment Help Please
I always run a straight edge (36" steel rule) flat on the bottom pulley then align the top pulley to it. Once you get it close, start to tighten the set screws, but it will creep slightly because of the taper lock bushing. It is a bit of a trial and error process.
