problem getting MB clutch and crank cover off
I blew a crankcase seal on my 35hp MB. I have most of the drive off but cant get the top gear off. Its got some kind of clutch plate on it after i removed the clutch. It seems to be attached to the top gear. Anyone have any info on this. Does the top gear get pulled outwards away from the motor? Thanks

that is the other half of the clutch. pry it off as an assy but pry behind the gear not the plate. you bend those tabs and you cost yourself 200 for a new clutch

Spray the shaft good with wd-40 or other oil & let it sit for a while. Use a block of wood and hammer or mallet to break it free. Probably just seized up from being on too long
