Post boat or prop?
I took mine out before season and ran her, but I wasn't too impressed. I recently did some po' boy tweaking (knocked baffles out of my stock muffler, K&N filter, messed with the governor spring). I'm running a 21 hp mud buddy hyper with a 1648 tracker grizzly. My boat has a floor kit and gun boxes, so it's probably a fairly heavy hull for its size. I ran from 3500 to 4000 rpm's in water and got about 20 mph with just me and 16 with two of us. I've got a 10x11 Ron Hill prop.

So......should I look at trying a different prop or is it just that my hull is too heavy? If I'm turning 4000 with a 10x11, could I try a big blade, or is that too big of a wheel for 21 hp to turn? I'm thinking of putting pods on to get the rear end out of the water and hopefully up on step. For now, a new lighter hull is probably out of the question because funds are tight.

Any advice/ideas?

I think you should have an 11x10, That is what my 18 mb hd had. It was on a lowe 1652, and did 23 with 2-3 in it. I dont think the ron hills have any cup on them. I would get an original mb prop and try that. jmo

So does cup have alot to do with a prop's performance? Because you're right, the ron hill doesn't have much cup compared to the mud buddy stock prop.
