Post Prop for stage 2
I'm in the market for a new prop I've tried a lot of props I am currently runnig the hammer prop but I was told that it's to much for my motor I tried a 3blade 10 pitch and I dint like it at all I could turn it to much
I tried a 3 blade 11 pitch and it kinda lugs it dons more than I like. I could only get it to 4100-4200 I was told that's to low of Rpms for a stage 2 that those motors don't like to be lugged down that much
I was thinking bout getting a new 2 blade and just putting some cup on it cause a regular 2 blade dosent give me enough push

How is the hammer too much for your motor? I would think it being a stage 2, you'd have enough umph to turn it.

I run a 10p three blade a worked 11p three blade or a worked stock 2 blade with extra cup in it. All perform good on my motor. I usually run the 11p worked one the most. I've got some ballistic props also but they jus for speed nothin else. Send ur 11 off to Chris he can make it lil better for u

Zack ur motor don't have 600 hours on it and a 3/16 boat
I don't like the 3 blades gota trim up a lot higher then normal
I can turn the hammer prop like nothig and I know its heavier than that 3 blade
They told me once it wears in a little it would run better

Garmin , Megellan and a cell phone gps and a Cop car radar were all within 1.3mph of each other averaged the three and came up with 34.3mph. Rpm divided by gear ratio times prop pitch divided by 1056 and figured in 20% prop slippage came up with 34 MPH. So I figure mph is pretty close. I can run side by side with my sons Excel 1851 F4 with MB 7000.

Couldn't run a BB at WOT was constantly on rev limiter at 4700 rpm, didn't GPS it was afraid to stay in it for any length of time motor at that time only had 20 hrs on it. If I carried two more people in boat it would still pull more RPM than I was comfortable running. High RPM is hard on Briggs V twins.
