 Mercury trim problem
I have a Black Death 5500. My trim will work but it stops after a few seconds of working the trim. After it cools down I hear a click and it starts back working. I replaced both relays and that didn't help. I straight wired it and it works fine. Will it hurt to leave it straight wired?

 Re: Mercury trim problem
I had the same problem with mine back during the season. Changed out the circuit breaker for the trim and works just fine now. The circuit breakers go bad over time

 Re: Mercury trim problem
Circuit breaker.....it's a thermal reset, that's why it clicks and starts working.

 Re: Mercury trim problem
It's a relay in the handle. I just experience this. Brought it to the dealer. The mechanic brought me back to show me. Buy a couple of them for spare
