Post Mercury Trim pump More info on replacement motor
Anyone have to replace Mercury Trim pump motor? Have 2013 MB BD 4500 with 87 Hrs on it. Pump motors Magnets come unglued inside housing locking up pump motor. Pump and cylinder are OK. Wondering if anyone has a motor number that is a direct replacement for it. No response from MB as yet. Four or five mercury pump motors on Amazon .com, that look a lot like it. Really need a number to make sure its the right one. Thought the mercury trim was so much better than the Thompson- Bear actuators, starting to wonder now. Took a chance and ordered one from Amazon.com Trim motor #809885A is a direct replacement for mecury trim pump motor and at $123.00 a lot cheaper and warranted. When researching trim parts found a replacement Thompson style trim actuator made by ACME thru Northern Tool.com they sell a complete line of actuators and trim rocker switches. A lot cheaper than MBs $400 replacement unit. May have to use some mounting parts off your old Actuator, for your application.
