Post go devil stripped shaft, any fix ideas ?
i got a 20hp vanguard go-devil crawfish model with a stripped shaft on the prop. anyone have a better idea? im thinkin either make a keyway fit between the shaft n prop, or weld the shaft to the prop to the nut, or putting a pin thru the prop and shaft(but pretty sure ill snap that). ive looked for a replacement shaft but cannot find one. any imput from someone whos done this would be great.

Take it to a machine shop and have thin weld it up and machine it down and re thread it of get a new one built.

You can weld it on but you would have to get a new shaft made if anything ever happened.

$70 for a new shaft. Small price to pay for a good a good peace of mind when you in the middle of nowhere and don't have phone service

It was 72 inches and I had it custom made with a 3 inch keyway and 4.5" of thread. I didn't buy it from go devil
