 Boat won't turn! Help!! I recently purchased the mud buddy hdr 44 efi. It comes with the new raptor 3 blade prop. Seems like a good prop but I'm having trouble making my boat turn at WOT. It wants to slide bad. Boat is a custom boat with the triple taper chines. Do y'all think a big blade prop could help me??? Instead of the raptor 3 blade. Feels like it just wants to push straight forward. Any advise appreciated

When it's up on plane wide open, the Chines won't grab enough water when you start your turn until you lose enough speed so it sinks back into the water some.

Re: Boat won't turn! Help!! If it's 48" or wider, and isn't 1000lbs unloaded, it's going to have a tendency to slide at wot unless it has reverse chines. Some more than others, and some are lucky with the way they bite and don't slide at all. Shift weight to the direction you're turning to try to lift the outside of the boat and make the chine bite more, but it's likely not going to help a whole lot

Re: Boat won't turn! Help!! Almost all boat slide its just a matter of how much. A true flat bottom will slide and depending on speed really slide. I got a 24x72 aluminum flat w/150 hp if its light loaded and going over about 40 mph --- had to turn out turn then turn back and it does get a better bite. BTW nothing wrong with turning left to go right!

most folks hate their boats for a while till they learn how to run them. it's normal. once you learn how to play the slide it won't bother you much at all.
