Hey yall, finally picked up a mud motor. Real old GoDevil that has been Frankenstein'd a few times by the looks of it. I speculate its an old 9 HP model. Now it has a 13 hp predator motor.

thing is unstoppable at idle. it will plug through the muck with no issue. Max speed is 7mph. I am not sure if the prop is simply under pitched for the HP or if its ground off too much. Does anyone know what the an appropriate size/pitch would be for this motor? I am pushing a heavy 14ft boat with a ton of gear

I am currently having the same issue with a older go devil. I repowered mine with a 18hp duromax. I ordered a 9x5 from backwater and it is way to much prop. I called them today and they are sending me a 8x5. I will update when I try it out.
