 Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr I have a 2012 35 gtr With hydraulic reverse wanting to know how many teeth or on the top pulley and how many teeth is on lower pulley on a stock gtr also what is the prop size and Pitch it is in a two blade and a three blade if any one know

Re: Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr Take the transmission cover off. It'll have a 48 stamped on either the right or left side if it is 48

Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr The bottom is 48. The top is what ever you count to. I don't think the top has ever changed. I think the ones changed around 2012 went from 42 to 48 but I may be backwards.

Re: Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr The bottom used to be 45, changed to 48 around that time. The top is 36, I think. Marcus will be along shortly to correct me if it's 38.

Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr If Russ says it is, then it is. Thanks for the correction on 45 and not 42. Drinking beers and watching Alabama hopefully lose doesn't make for a strong memory of obscure facts.

Re: Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr Away from you. Check your weight distribution first and also prop plays into effect. Since you have a worn prop, may want to wait till you have a new one and see how that plays in.

Re: Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr Trim level affects the felt torque a lot, and a fresh prop will change where it's trimmed for best thrust. Unless you're gonna use that prop a while, just wait on the bending stuff.

Re: Gear teeth on my 2012 gtr Top gear is 38 Current bottom is 48. Used to be 45 lower, but was changed around 2011-2012 ish. The CDI motors additional charging system put more load on these units aswell as larger boats, 3 blade propellers were coming out; so they needed a lower gear ratio.
38/45 = 1.18:1
38/48 = 1.26:1
