 grass cutter
I know most of you on here are clear water pirates, lol..... but are any of you running grass cutters ?
I am testing one for a friend and it works well. I think it makes you lose a mph or two, but you don't have to stop and cut weeds/vines out u prop in the bad stuff. I have been running that peruviann water vine stuff and it will wrap a prop quick. not so with this crass cutter. only thing I haven't tried yet is cutgrass, and I hope it does well, that stuff is the toughest thing I know of.
who else is running something like this. pros/cons?

 Re: grass cutter
Can you post a pic of what you use? I know Bayou Boy used to make one.

 Re: grass cutter
I talked to kp the other day and he said prodrive makes one. I hadn't ever seen one. sorry, but I ain't gonna post a pic of the one I got till I know it works. I just came in from frogging and it did great, but haven't been in the cutgrass yet.

 Re: grass cutter
We run Preston's on both our rigs. I don't think we sacrificed anything performance wise. They work well.

 Re: grass cutter
Here is a pic of Preston's. Works good. Doesn't effect performance.
But you have to watch your fingers when swapping props! Sharp!

 Re: grass cutter
If you are asking me, I don't know, but doubt it.
Not sure if you can see in pic, you have to cut out part of the cav plate, and it mounts in that slot...

 Re: grass cutter
I know Preston, he's a sharp guy. looks like a winner! I was at prodrive today. they offer a grass cutter. it bolts onto the cav plate kinda like the one i'm running does. u just put it in place, drill 2 holes and bolt it on. easy peasy.
