 Adding clutch to old hyperdrive
I have a 2004 mud buddy hyperdrive and it’s just direct drive no reverse no neutral. I’m wanting to add a clutch to it. Other than the wiring side of it would it be just as simple as taking the regular sprocket off and adding the clutch or would there be more to it? Tia

Re: Adding clutch to old hyperdrive
I'd think you'll likely need a new top housing cover to accommodate the clutch and pulley

Re: Adding clutch to old hyperdrive
I was thinking that. This might be a dumb question but would that clutch kit give it neutral and reverse or just neutral?

Just neutral unless you get the 1700 dollar retrofit for reverse (if they still sell it, I think that's what it cost
