Replaced the seals on my GTR 40 XD yesterday. The seals I replaced are the ones located near the prop. To remove them, use a screw driver and lightly tap all around until you can push the bearing out. Do not hit on the bearing because you will ruin it. Once you have them out, use a socket to put the new ones back in. The part numbers for the two seals needed are as follows

- seal brand is SKF, part number 28X38X7 HMS5 RG, 1720. This seal will be the first one you put back in the cup. Make sure to put it in the same way the old one came out
- the second seal is also SKF brand, part number 10930. The second seal is larger than the first so there is only one way to put them in because they taper.

I changed them at 75, but it was because of my mistake. I was servicing my go devil boat at the same time and when I greased the lower on the gatortail, I didn’t take out the pressure release screw and so it was operator error for the failure
