I saw two Gen 3 prodrive's in action today with 3 blade props. I don't know the speeds but with 3 dudes and a boat full of trash it was on a step at traveling well. From the naked eye it did not seem as slow this thread makes it sound. If I had to guess it was between 20 and 22 MPH. This was at bayou Lafourche clean up.

Ordering my new Prodrive rig with the 37 EFI and 2 blade tomorrow. Probably ordering the new PD hunt deck as well. I may have changed my mind on hunt decks

The new PD hunt deck looks pretty slick. They tapered the false transom to bring it low enough so you don't bust your knuckles!

I stopped by the show to pick up my prop, and I didn't even notice it. I run mine on a huntdeck though, and I haven't had any problems with it.

Kinda nice how there was a lip built into the false transom to act as a splash guard

One Owen just posted is different hunt deck than what was at show. One at show looked sharp. I just sent a text to try and get some pix.

I was told to expect between 26 to 27 MPH on a light load on the PD rig I ordered. That is with the 2 blade and Briggs EFI

Sounds about right to me. That's what I'm expecting out of the stock 2-blade on my Briggs EFI on a 1948.

Post subject:  Re: ProDrive 2-Blade Gen 3 Prop

I am on the fence about placing my order for the 37efi PD. I am going to put it on a 1656 GoDevil hull. What should I expect from the gen 3 lower? Should I ask for the 2 blade prop? What pitch?

I run rivers and shallow flats with hard bottom. Hardly any mud around North GA. Mostly rocks, stumps, and hard pan bottom. Most hunting is done with 2 guys (200+lb each) and a fat lab.

Is a good holeshot and upper 20's too much to ask with a stock motor and hull combination?

Any advise is appreciated.

Post subject:  Re: ProDrive 2-Blade Gen 3 Prop

No, I think it will do just what you are expecting. My buddy just got his 37 Briggs EFI and it jumps out the hole quick and runs 26-27 on a heavy 18x54 Brother Breaux center console rig with 3/16th bottom, catwalks, big front deck, etc...

Ok about trying to video my speeds and this is the truth. I'll try , but last time I had to hold the gps in my hand to take a clear picture and it would come through on the video clear enough to read the screen, I'm going fishing tomorrow and I'll try my best to get a good video! And no my boat doesn't run 31.4 all the time! Only in deep water with a good chop. But it will run 30.5 all day, and my boat is a tank that's why I don't understand why y'all are getting such terrible speeds. Mine ran 27 with stock motor. Honestly though and 18x54 should run at least 28 with a 37efi.

KP told me my 2054 X series should do 26-27 light and still do 23-24 loaded pretty heavy....I'll give you guys an honest review in the next few weeks...should be ready late next week! He did also say that yes all new engines were coming stock with the newer 2 blade prop.
