I just got a new GTR 35 on a gatortrax huntdeck. With the motor being so far back it makes me have to reach about a foot behind me in order to steer. And its almost impossible to stand and drive at higher speeds. Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to lengthen my tiller handle by about a foot? otherwise its an awesome setup. it's my very first mud rig....and it is ssswwweeettttt!!! |

standing closer to the transom is a no brainer...but i have a dry box welded in the back i can sit on and my grab bar is in front of it. I can't really stand all the way back when the ride gets a little rough. either way...anyone modified their handle and have a good idea or pics? |

i talked to kyle a few weeks ago and he said they only make handles about every couple months in batches. so ill prob just hike my skirt up and deal with it till he can fab me a longer one in the next month or two. i appreciate the advice...thanks for taking the time to respond |

im going to keep the reverse where it is. i will have to extend the throttle cable a bit. but it looks like i will still have enough cable to slide it forward 10 more inches. i would like to have another piece of tubing doweled down a bit so it slides in the original handle and then weld it in place. i think this is asking a lot though. prob just gonna have to get a bigger piece and slide it over and weld it in place. afterall its a mud rig....not a f*ing mercedes. who cares if it deosn't look perfect. |
