went and got my first mudmotor today a 13hp lt and when i ran it, seemed like it wasnt diggin in the mud or boggin down any. It has an 8x4 prop with no wear on a 1442 all welded with standard jon boat ribs stickin down. I was runnin in 2 inches of water and deep mud. Has anybody upsized props with good results? Thinkin about a 9x3 or 9x4 when this one wears out.

I know its just a 13 and Im a new driver but I think it could sling a bigger prop do yall?

a 16hp takes a 9x3, i would only try it if either someone has one u can borrow just to try, i wouldnt want you to end up wasting your money

I would hate to go waste my money, I guess if it was too big all i have to do is run in some sand. A 9x3 would prolly push a load better than what i have now.
