Re: whats the proper way to measure the prop ?
I was wondering the same thing when I saw your post. Does it still have all of the trailing edge cup, or has it wore down? I had worn mine off & lost 5 mph.
Sent from my Droid because I'm trying to be as cool as you someday.

Re: whats the proper way to measure the prop ?
On the LT you can just measure diameter...
But on the SD --- I find blade width is a better way to gauge wear, as the wear at mid-blade robs you of speed and causes prop lift troubles on a balanced design like my GDSD....
After 1/4" width is lost at mid-blade --- I consider my props "gone" and replace with new --- rpms creep up 200 to 300 while speed goes down 4 to 8 mph --- a bit of re-cupping might put a lil extra run time on one....

I might have gained 100 rpm @ most, but I keep an eye on it anyhow since I don't run a rev box. I keep it under 4700 for the most part, but never let it over 4800.
