bad pics in the rain, but I used the exhaused, and airbox as reference so you could see the prop is off a few degrees. What causes this? Anyone else seen it? I havent hit it on anything solid, so leads me to believe its common.

Is there any play in it? Only thing I could figure is the mechanism on the reverse is going or has gone south. Call Peck.

X2 on call peck... as soon as possible..

BUT,

Ck the bolts on top of the knuckle. They can work loose. This is important. It it stays loose then it can cause the gears to wear and grind down and then your lu is gone. If you don't, eventually it will make a loud noise and not work. Don't ask me how I know. I just do.

You have to drop the lower unit off to ck this.

Good luck.

No play in it, transition to reverse and back feels solid, snaps in and out without slop in manual pin, gonna check them bolts. thanks

Never seen one like that. Wonder if the LU was put on crooked, meaning the bolts that hold it together were one hole off or something. Has it always been like that? How long have you had it?

Bugs the chit out of me too. My original LU lined up straight but the replacement I got is crooked as hell. Of course it has nothing to do with function of the motor. The bolt holes in the round part of the LU column are not squared up so when bolted on the LU is a little offset. Trust me you cant do nothing about it by taking it apart and trying new holes. I take my motor LU down at least once a year for a complete maint job and it always goes back on offset no matter what I tried.

Im not sold on that being my situation, 23hrs on thi new motor and I moved over to the edge of my seat to reach throttle. A man knows somthings diff. then. It put the handle in an awkward spot, so im solid on the fact its a development. Peck thought it was always that way. I wouldnt expect that to be the case with any motor.

Ive installed long shaft conversions and hydro reverse and one came out like that. Also know a fella with a brand new dual rig and one motor is like that straight from the factory. Dont know whats up wit dat.

I have seen it on a couple of them. But if it bothers you . Let peck get it fixed and they will check out everything else while it is there. You will know that everything is good for hunting season.

Yeah I dont like it, me and Peck talked about it and I sent him the pics, before season I suppose I'll take a trip there. I just cant wrap my mind around it ALWAYS being that way. No slight on P.D. they been willing to talk to me and make sure I'm satisfied.
