 Pitch which way????
Ok I have a 23GTR and I have a nomad prop but I need one to run the federal reserves down in Texas. I called baumans in houston and they said they could do whatever I needed done. I am going the make the prop 9 1/4 diameter but not sure what pitch it needs to be. Its a 35hp grr prop so its a 11 pitch right now. What would be the best pitch so im not all up on my rev limiter. Not much mud running either so that's not much or a factor.

 Re: Pitch which way????
10 understandable. But a 1/2 inch of cup f-me really? I was projecting 9 1/2 pitch with factory style cup being it gonna have be copied from a new prop just a 91/2 diameter.

 Re: Pitch which way????
Did you talk to Louis or his brother? His brother works on all the props. Their Dad Louis Sr. ran the shop & supplied my families barge business for years.
They do good work. But fine tuning a prop is very difficult. They have the stock 35 GTR prop they can work from. I supplied it to them.

 Re: Pitch which way????
Ok Coe but I told them that you brought a factory new prop in there to get the dimensions off of that one. Did they not do that Coe? I did mentioned your name when asking if that could do this!

 Re: Pitch which way????
If its the same federal marshes I hunt in Southeast Texas you cant run a prop over 9 inches in diameter. Are you having the diameter cut down also?

 Re: Pitch which way????
Reread my first post! thats what i'm doing is cutting it to a 9 1/4 then repitching it. talked to hoyt at gator-tail and he sad if anything i need to go up in pitch from a 10 to a 11 or 12. but he said to run it first with a hunt load to see how it did cut down to 9 1/4 diameter. cause he said the 23gtr;s tend to bog with a hunt load and with the smaller prop i might like the fast rev i get with the load.
